I'm 16 years old and i'm just starting my own blogshop. Although i have been blogshopping (as a shopper, not a seller) for a few months now, i have no idea how postage works. Can anyone help me clarify some of my doubts?

Firstly, i'm not sure on the amount I am supposed to pay and what type of items are allowed. Can i put a necklace in an envelope and use the 1st local standard mail stamp(the $0.24 stamp)? (Total weight is below 20 grams) or do i need to use the non-standard mail stamp? I can use 1st local mail stamp for mailing screen protectors right?
